Heart Shaped Vodka Pizza
You don’t need Valentines Day as an excuse for this delicious pizza! Vodka sauce is laid on a heart shaped dough, topped with fresh mozzarella and a health grating of parmigiano reggiano, you will definitely be saying, I love you.
Heart shaped vodka pizza
1 AP pizza dough
2 cups Vodka Sauce
1 pound fresh mozzarella
1/2 cup freshly grated parmigiano reggiano
EVOO
5 to 6 small basil leaves, for garnish
Preheat the oven to 500 degrees.
Stretch the dough into a heart shape. Place a tea towel over the dough while you make the sauce.
Once the sauce is made and cooled, remove the tea towel from the pizza and stretch again to really create an exaggerated heart shape as it will shrink back a bit in the oven.
Spread the sauce evenly over the dough.
Cut the mozzarella into thin slices and lay if over the sauce.
Sprinkle the parmigiano on top and drizzle EVOo all over the pizza.
Place it in the oven for 10 minutes.
Remove the pizza from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Add basil leaves, slice and serve.
